Makayla Herron, DVM

Dr. Makayla Herron is a graduate of University of Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree before pursuing her veterinary education at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, she developed strong interests in internal medicine and surgery while fostering her passion for helping animals and providing them with the best possible care.

Dr. Herron has had a love of animals from an early age and worked in veterinary hospitals throughout her college education. These experiences helped solidify her commitment to helping animals and pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

Dr. Herron lives in Staunton with her 3 cats, Ernie, Punzy, and Opie and dog, Luna. Outside of the veterinary hospital, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, baking and spending time with her fiancé and family.
